General Information:
  • We are meeting at Bear Creek Ski Area and there will be no regular troop meeting. Go to  http://www.skibearcreek.com for directions.
  • Group Leader needs to meet everyone at the base around 5 pm to help them get them tickets, rental vouchers, etc. PLEASE CALL MR. GALGANO's CELL (610-914-6294) IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE.
  • Family and Friends are welcome. We need a really good idea of how many are attending in advance. Call if there are any cancellations or additions.
  • Everyone under 18 needs to have a parent along or bring a signed release if you are tubing or renting skiis, snowboard gear, or helmets. Renting equipment requires a credit card for deposit.
  • Mr. Galgano always wears a helmet on the slopes and STRONGLY encourages you to do the same.

Snow Sports Merit Badge:
Meet Mr. Galgano at 7:30 pm in front of lodge for Snow Sports Merit Badge - Ski or Snowboard Skills Demonstrations. We can review some stuff on a beginners slope, then we'll take one or two of intermediate runs. Hopefully it will only take an hour or so. We will do the BORING STUFF later "on the flats" to save our "slope time" for big snow fun. Let me know you are interested, and I’ll email you more info.
  • We should have at least two scouts and two adults for "two-up leadership." Parents and adult leaders are welcome.
  • These skills require approximately an advanced beginner to intermediate skill level.
  • Skiers/boarders should be comfortable with lifts and up to intermediate slopes BEFORE meeting.

Winter Sports Night Signup Sheet: Due at Monday Feburary 15th Meeting. We need a good count on Feb 15th. You may bring your payment and Forms to the Ski Area. CALL: Peter Galgano cell 610-914-6294 with last minute changes or if you forget something.
